Shari Rita (Schurr) Marcus Obituary (1928

Shari R. (Schurr) Marcus 89 of Jamesburg died Tuesday October 17th at the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in the Bronx, NY, Mrs. Marcus lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Jamesburg in 1996. She was employed for 15 years in the Foreign Travel Department for the American Express Corp., NYC, retiring in 1960. Mrs. Marcus enjoyed needlepoint sewing, greyhounds and especially her family. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald J. Marcus in 2007. Surviving are her son John Ehret and his wife Franceline of Jamesburg, her grandson John Ehret, her close family Gerry and Mary, Tommy and Maryjane, Veronica and Jimmy (dec.), Marianne and Richie (dec.) and Janet and Kevin (dec.) and many nieces, nephews and their children. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday October 19th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Wednesday 6-9 p.m. and Thursday 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
