Ralph Philippe

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Ralph Philippe, a man of great valor, generosity, and wit, on September 12, 2026. Born on December 5, 1943, in Floral Park, NY, Ralph was a beacon of warmth and laughter, his life resonating with courage, love, and a keen sense of humor that touched all who knew him.

Ralph's life was a testament to selflessness and service, evident in his distinguished career as a New York City Police Officer. He served the city with immense dedication, winning recognition for his superior performance in protecting the Garment Area community in 1986. A proud and honorable veteran of the U.S. Army, Ralph later found joy and fulfillment in his retirement, becoming a master craftsman of woodworking, a skillful player of darts and pool, and a culinary enthusiast. As the President of Clearbrook Billiards Club for 12 years, his influence and charisma left an indelible mark. Yet, the heart of Ralph's world was his family, the cherished moments with them his most treasured memories.

Ralph leaves behind his loving wife Emily Philippe, his children Karen (Alberto) Artasanchez, Peter Kaminski, and John (Lara) Kaminski. He was a beloved grandfather to Michael (Meagan) Schirmacher, Daniel Schirmacher, John Kaminski, Julianna Kaminski, Shane Kaminski, and Isabella Kaminski. Ralph was proceeded in death by his parents, Louis and Vera Philippe, and his brother, Louis Philippe.

Ralph's life will be honored at a memorial visitation on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 2:00-6:00 pm EDT at the Lester Memorial Home, located at 16 West Church Street, Jamesburg, New Jersey, 08831. Funeral Prayer Service at 4:30 pm, followed by Military Honors at 5:30pm.
