Phoebe "Faye" (Collura) Hallisay Obituary (1919

Phoebe "Faye" (Collura) Hallisay 96 of Monroe Township died Wednesday February 17th at the Chelsea at Forsgate, Monroe Township. Born in Jamesburg, Mrs. Hallisay lived there her whole life until moving to the Rossmoor community in Monroe Township in 1987. She was employed many years ago as a waitress at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township. Mrs. Hallisay was a parishioner at St. James RC Church, Jamesburg and a former member of the St. James Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Jamesburg Senior Citizens. Mrs. Hallisay was the longest continuing and living communicant at St. James Church, having been baptized at the church in 1919. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2005, her sons Vincent and Peter, her grandson Kevin, her sister Anna and her brothers Nick and Joe. Surviving are her son Paul and his wife Margo of Dunkirk, MD, six grandchildren Vincent Hallisay, Ann Hallisay, Brian Hallisay, Meghan Hallisay, Timothy Hallisay and Kimberley Nussbaum, nine great grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Linda Hallisay of El Cajon, CA. Services will begin 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 20th at the Lester Memorial Home followed by a 11 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James RC Church, Jamesburg. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visiting for family and friends will be Saturday 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
