Letteria Saffioti Obituary (1920

Letteria (Impiombato) Saffiioti 98 of Jersey City died Sunday August 26th at Centrastate Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Palmi, Italy, Mrs. Saffioti came to the U.S. in 1950 and lived in Jersey City ever since. Mrs. Saffioti was an apartment building landlord and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio in 1990. Surviving are her four children Saverio (Sam) Saffioti and his wife Rosemary Ronan of Monroe Township, NJ, Catherine McPeek and her husband Fred of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, Connie Lamar and her husband John of Lewes, DE and Michael Saffioti of Jersey City her four grandchildren Dawn Saffioti and her husband Walter Tamkatonis, Kenny McPeek and his wife Annie, Megan McPeek and Chelsea Lamar, three great grandchildren Ashley Michelin and her husband Dan, Jackson McPeek and Emma McPeek and her former daughter-in-law Elaine Saffioti. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday August 30th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Burial will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visiting hours for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
