Joan V. (Mcclurg) Knupp Obituary (1934

Joan V. (McClurg) Knupp 82 formerly of Harrisburg died Sunday March 26th in East Brunswick, NJ. Born in Harrisburg, Mrs. Knupp lived there most of her life until moving to Milltown, NJ in 2012. She was employed for 20 years as a stenographer for the PA Dept. of General Services, Harrisburg, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Knupp was a congregant and member of the Church Choir at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral, Harrisburg. She was a Sunday School teacher and Altar Guild Directress at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Harrisburg. She was also a member of the Hershey Women's Chorus. Mrs. Kupp enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. She loved to entertain guests in her home and was a volunteer for the M.S. Society and the Ronald McDonald House, Hershey. Surviving are her high school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Roy Dewey Knupp Jr., her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Bill Guerard of Milltown, NJ, her sister Dorothy L. Fox of Harrisburg, her brother Charles T. McClurg of Harrisburg, her two grandchildren Roy P. (Emily) Guerard of Hinesville, GA and Ann G. (Daniel) Estanqueiro of Morrisville, NC and five great grandchildren Noah, Caleb and Boaz Guerard and Nathan and Sarah Grace Estanqueiro. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. April 8th at St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral 221 N. Front St., Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Parkinson's Foundation, St. Stephen's Episcopal Cathedral, Harrisburg or St. George's Anglican Church, Helmetta, NJ.
