Jayne Parker Obituary (1945 - 2026) - Lawrence Township, New Jersey

Jayne Parker, born August 20th, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA was an inspiration to all who knew her. Jayne’s spirit was a wonderful combination of a caring, generous heart and relentless determination that cerebral palsy would not define her. Her compassion and zest for life were evident in every interaction she had, whether with family, friends or the countless children she cared for throughout her career. Jayne spent her early years in Latrobe, PA and then to Haddonfield, and Collingswood, NJ where she spent most of her life. She was a devout Catholic and with the help of friends attended church most every week. As a childcare giver she created a haven of love and care for many children in her home, building enduring relationships with them and their families which last to this day. Jayne’s family and friends meant everything to her. They were always there for her, and she was always there for them. She loved the music of the 50’s and 60’s and never missed any opportunity to attend a Jerry Blavat dance, listen to his radio show, or visit his club, Memories in Margate. The past few years, Jayne resided in Group Homes run by Arc of Camden County and then Allies in Lawrenceville NJ. They knew how important Jayne’s friends were to her and were great at helping her stay in touch with them. We thank them for that, because Jayne’s life will always be remembered by the countless moments of joy, laughter, kindness and love she shared with those around her. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday Feb 14th at St John's Church at Park Ave and Lees Ave, Collingswood, NJ. There will be an informal gathering for friends to stop by before the service from 10-11am to remember Jayne and share memories. We invite all who knew and loved Jayne to share their memories and upload photos that capture the essence of who she was on her memorial page. She was an extraordinary woman, and her story deserves to continue. Let us celebrate and remember Jayne Parker, an unforgettable soul who touched our lives in countless ways.
