Domenico Passarelli Obituary (1942

With sadness, we announce the passing of Domenico Passarelli, 79, of Monroe Township, on Saturday, December 4th, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pomarico in the Province of Matera, Italy, he emigrated to the United States in 1968 seeking new adventures. He met his loving wife and lived in Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Monroe Township in 2005. He was the owner of Passa Construction Company, Brooklyn for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. Domenico loved to play cards with his friends with a poker face, enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and cooking a feast for everyone. He was everyone's favorite uncle and known to always joke around and be the center of attention. He enjoyed going to Pennsylvania, Florida and Italy. His greatest joy was his family and being with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and forever in their hearts. He was predeceased by his brother, Vincenzo, and his sister, Rosa DeCicco. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Faustina (Ramaglia) Passarelli, his daughter, Nancy, Alborea and her husband, Antonio, of Monroe Township, his son, Vincent, and his wife, Amanda, of Brooklyn, NY, and his sister, Michela Orlandi of Italy. He is the adored grandfather of Isabella, Anthony, and Beatrice. He was loved by many and his joyous presence will be missed by all. Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 9th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, East Brunswick. Visiting hours for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday December 7th and 9-10 a.m. Thursday December 9th at the funeral home.
