We remember and celebrate the life of David Bush, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Born on October 21, 1946, in Torquay, Devon, United Kingdom, David was a man with a heart full of kindness and a spirit filled with bravery and adventure. He was a determined individual who embraced every opportunity life presented.
The number one priority for David was his family. His love for his wife transcended more than 60 years, from an early friendship, through their courtship, and eventually 56 years of marriage. He cherished his children, and loved his immediate family and extended family unconditionally.
David loved to travel, and took his family on vacations all around the world. He enjoyed experiencing other cultures and people, and truly felt enriched by them. From the age of 18, he served as a Police Officer in the UK for 16 years, demonstrating his bravery and commitment to serving his community. Later, he became a top kitchen & bath designer, bringing additional beauty and functionality to his clients' homes, continuing this profession when he moved his family to Long Island, NY in 1989.
David is survived by his loving wife, Farida, their two children, Andrew and Caroline, daughter-in-law Laura, and two grand-daughters Alexis and Liza. He was a devoted husband and father, who left an indelible mark on their lives. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Myrtle Bush.
